CAIPA at the Americas Investment Forum 2026: One Caribbean, One Investment Story
27 Jul 2026
The Americas Investment Forum (AIF) 2026, hosted jointly by WAIPA and CAIPA’s member Prodominicana was held in the Dominican Republic July 1–3, 2026. The event brought together 50 countries, 35 IPA and government representatives, 16 panel sessions, 168 business meetings, and roughly 1,800 attendees. CAIPA joined via a shared booth with Invest Saint Lucia, Invest Barbados, Invest Turks and Caicos Islands, and the Government of the British Virgin Islands, presenting a unified regional presence rather than separate national ones.
As a panelist at the event, the CAIPA President Kaye Ann Greenidge made the case for deal-based collaboration among IPAs, built around a shared regional narrative rather than country-by-country pitches. Her argument: a regional story answers a question no single country can - Why invest in the Caribbean? She positioned the region as one integrated ecosystem offering market scale, resilient supply chains, deep talent and natural resources, strong trade connectivity, and complementary strengths across manufacturing, renewable energy, digital services, life sciences, agribusiness, and creative industries.
For CAIPA, the AIF went well beyond visibility. The joint booth put the "one ecosystem" thesis into practice rather than leaving it as rhetoric, while 168 business meetings and 35 government counterparts made AIF a high-value venue for the deal-based collaboration model CAIPA champions. Having the CAIPA President speak from a platform reaching 1,800 attendees reinforced the Association’s role as the region's narrative-setting voice with the central message being that the Caribbean's edge lies in the ecosystem the region presents TOGETHER, and continued joint participation is how that narrative turns into deals.
