CAIPA Hosts Inaugural Caribbean Entitlement & Hospitality Strategic Sessions™, Spotlighting Guyana
27 Jul 2026
CAIPA is proud to have hosted the Caribbean Entitlement & Hospitality Strategic Sessions™, a new executive platform from The Buckler Group and EXODUS™ that brings government officials, Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs), investors, developers, and diaspora leaders together to channel capital toward shovel-ready tourism and real estate development projects across the Caribbean. The series is grounded in The Buckler Group's Caribbean Renaissance™ Framework, built on the premise that opportunity becomes durable value only when capital, land, institutions, and execution are aligned.
The inaugural session, held virtually July 24, spotlighted the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the hemisphere's fastest-growing economy, under the theme Hospitality, Real Estate & the Future of Development in Guyana. It opened with a moment of silence for the recent tragedy in Guyana, with CAIPA President Kaye Ann Greenidge affirming the association's solidarity with the country during this time of grief.
Featured speakers John Edghill (GO-Invest), Kamrul Baksh (Guyana Tourism Authority), Roy Bassoo (Cardinal Investment), and Andres Botero Toro (Caribbean Green Building) discussed Guyana's push into ecolodges, new road infrastructure supporting regional diversification, and investor facilitation through GO-Invest, alongside firsthand accounts of investing success. Follow-up will include closed-door investor meetings and a planned site visit.
President Greenidge noted the series reflects two pillars of CAIPA's strategy: using digital technology to reach investors, and sharpening focus on priority sectors, which for this series is the tourism and real estate development sector.
The webinars will be held monthly with the upcoming schedule shown below:
